摘　　要：《生命法则》是英国知名作家费·韦尔登的作品,小说通过魂灵呓语式的回忆,描述了一位女性在性别困境中不断挣扎的一生。通过采用非传统的反和谐审美策略,作者在人物塑造方面建构出多层次的美学寓意：即通过人物自身的＂缺陷美＂来展示女性被文化规训的次级性别属性困境;通过情爱关系的＂错位美＂来揭露女性被父权物化的性别身份困境;通过情境画面关系的＂破碎美＂来揭示女性个体生存的无意义困境。女主人公加布里埃尔那饱含缺陷、错位和破碎的人生悲剧,正是现实社会中女性生存困境的真实写照。The Rules of Life by the famous British writer Fay Weldon tells the tale of a woman＇s struggle via the chaotic narrative of the ghost of the protagonist. The book constructs an all-around aesthetic allegory of characterization by deploying anti-traditional aesthetic strategies of disharmony： with ＂imperfect beauty＂ the the female dilemma of secondary gender disciplined by culture is revealed; with ＂misplaced beauty＂ the female dilemma of gender identity objectified by patriarchy is brought to light; and with ＂broken beauty＂ the female dilemma of worthless individual existence is presented. The female protagonist Gabriel＇s life of imperfection, misplacement and fragmentation thus becomes a true reflection of women＇s dilemma in the reality.
