摘　　要：斯坦贝克在《伊甸之东》中表达了独特的道德观。斯坦贝克认为,恶与恨并非绝对消极的负面因素。人类正是因为恶而感知到善,因为恨而激发了爱。善与恶、爱与恨两者缺一不可,互为依赖。Steinbeck expressed in East of Eden his unique moral philosophy： evil and hatred were not absolutely negative. It is just evil that human being can perceive good and it is just hatred that triggers love. Good and evil, love and hatred are interdependent and complementary to each other.
