摘　　要：科技的迅猛发展带来大量科技英语新词的产生,在此过程中隐喻作为人类认知和思维的一种重要方式,发挥了不可或缺的作用。本文主要分析了隐喻在科技英语新词各种构词类型中的表现,进而对科技英语新词的隐喻理据进行了认知阐释,以便我们在科技英语词汇的新陈代谢中更好地理解词与词之间的联系以及词义演变和发展的规律。A large number of Scientific English new words emerge with the rapid development of the science and technology. In this process metaphor, as an important mode of cognition and thinking, plays an indispensible role. This thesis mainly analyzes the metaphor expression in various types of scientific word formation, and explains the metaphor motivation from the semantic point, so that we can comprehend the relationship between words and the law in word meaning development better.
