Objective To analysis the clinical effect of clopidogrel combined with aspirin in the treatment of transient ischemic attack in the elderly. Methods A total of 78 elderly patients with transient ischemic attack as study subjects were divided by different treatment methods into experimental group and control group, with 39 cases in each group. Both groups received clinical basic treatment after admission, on this basis, the control group was treated with aspirin, and the experimental group was treated with clopidogrel combined with aspirin. The clinical efficacy and occurrence of adverse reactions between the two groups was observed. Results After treatment, the experimental group had obviously higher total effective rate as 97.44% than 84.62% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P〈0.05). Both groups had no statistically significant difference in incidence of adverse reactions(P〉0.05). Conclusion Combination of clopidogrel and aspirin can effectively improve the treatment effect of elderly patients with transient ischemic attack, and it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
