摘　　要：陈占元是我国从20世纪30年代就开始翻译法国文学的翻译家。历经半个世纪的翻译生涯,他给世人留下了一笔巨大的财富。他的译作内容丰富,涉及面广,充分显示了其才学与翻译功底。1941年年底陈占元来到桂林,创办了"明日社"及《明日文艺》,出版的译著、著作和刊物形成了极大的反响。从桂林的出版编辑生涯到翻译实践活动,陈占元在法国文学翻译和研究中做出了突出的贡献。他认真谦逊的为人、淡泊名利的态度也让人敬仰。Chen Zhanyuan was a translator who translated French literature in China since 1930 s.After half a century of translation career,he left a great fortune to the world.His translation is rich in content,involving a wide range,fully displays the scholarship and translation skills.At the end of 1941,Chen Zhanyuan went to Guilin,founded the Tomorrow Agency and Tomorrow Art.The published translations,books and publications,which caused great repercussions and played positive roles.From the publishing and editing career in Guilin to the translation activities,Chen Zhanyuan＇s extraordinary life has made remarkable achievements.He should be esteemed for his serious and modest personality and his indifferent to fame and fortune.His contribution in French literature translation and research should not be forgotten.
