摘　　要：以民国时期美利奴羊进入山西为个案研究,通过对美利奴羊的引进、推广、出现问题、解决问题这样一个具体过程的分析,初步探讨畜牧业背后的国家制度、政策、社会层面是如何运行的。进一步揭示近代中国政府和民众对于西方新事物的不同认识和行为。在这一研究的基础上,从以土地和水为中心到以畜牧为中心,无疑为理解乡土中国社会变迁提供了一个新视角。This article is a case study of the Merino sheep in Shanxi province during the period of the Republic of China. To investigate the national system, policy and social aspects behind the animal husbandry,it analyses the specific process of the introduction, popularization and problems of Merino sheep. Furthermore, It reveals the different understandings and behaviors of the modern Chinese government and common people to the new things from the West. Based on this study, from the center of land and water to the center of animal husbandry, it undoubtedly provides a new perspective for understanding the social changes in rural China.
