摘　　要：当前,英美文学教学中存在教学方式不够科学、教学中忽视作品细节、对作品中的人文精神重视不够等问题。基于此,应该导入新批评理论,完善英美文学教学目标;提供新的学习视角,激发学生的学习兴趣;科学选择精读作品,培养学生的细读能力;结合其他批评理论,增强学生的分析能力;重视作品语境分析,加深学生对作品的理解;发掘人文元素,培养学生的人文精神。Currently in the teaching of British and American literatures, there are such problems as the inade- quate teaching methods, the neglect of details of the works in teaching and the insufficient attention to the humanistic spirit in the works. Based on this, we should introduce new criticism theory and improve the teaching goal of British and American literatures; provide a new learning perspective and stimulate students＇ interest in learning; select rea- sonably the works of intensive reading and cultivate students＇ in-depth reading ability; combine other critical theories and strengthen the analytical ability; attach importance to the analysis of the context of the works and deepen the understanding of the works; explore the humanistic elements and cultivate the humanistic spirit of the students.
