摘　　要：彼得·埃森曼的《现代建筑的形式基础》中文版在原文完成55年后出版,文章借此机会从译者的角度批判性地观察该书所揭示的历史、理论、实践与叙事之间的复杂关系,并追溯埃森曼30余年间与中国的渊源,进而展望中国读者重读和精读该书后可能展开的新的建筑学讨论。Fifty-five Peter Eisenman＇s The Architecture has its Ch years after its completion, Formal Basis of Modern nese translation published in 2018. This essay critically observes, from the translators＇ point of view, the complex relationship between history, theory, practice and narratives as revealed through the reading of Eisenman＇s book. It traces Eisenman＇s personal con-nections with China over the past 30 years, and proceeds to anticipate a new architectural discourse based on Chinese readers＇ re-reading and close reading of Fisenman＇s book.
