摘　　要：中国形象的创造主体历来多为西方人而不是中国人,中国形象是"他塑"而不是"自塑"。通过对翻译文本与形象建构关系的详细论述,认为翻译文本不仅是中国形象的"自塑",也是中国形象建构与传播的重要途径之一。《习近平谈治国理政》英文译本是中国形象在世界的自我表述,该译本在海外的成功发行可改变中国形象总是被动地由西方来表述的局面,纠正西方媒体对中国形象偏颇描述造成的负面影响,在传播中国形象以及构建国际社会新秩序中发挥着重要作用,对中国与世界各国的关系产生积极影响。《习近平谈治国理政》英文译本不仅有利于改变由"他者"建构中国形象的被动局面,而且能积极推动中国形象学以及中国话语体系的建设。Historically speaking,China＇s image has been usually created by＂others＂rather than Chinese people themselves.Based on the analysis of the relations between translations and image construction,the paper holds that translation is an important medium of transmitting China＇s image and a self-portrayal of China＇s image. The English translation of Xi Jinping： The Governance of China is a self-portrayal of China＇s image,which not only changes the fact that China＇s image was constructed by westerners,but also helps people all over the world see through the distorted portrayal of China＇s image drawn by the Western medium. The English translation will play an important role in constructing a new world order and exerts a positive influence on relations between China and other countries. The English translation of Xi Jinping： The Governance of China changes the construction of China＇s image by westerners,and is the important source of China＇s image construction system as well.
