摘　　要：云南是我国从陆地上连接东南亚、南亚的枢纽地带。在云南省高校的外语教育中,东南亚语种专业的发展非常迅速,而南亚语种专业的开设却明显滞后。在云南省建设面向南亚东南亚辐射中心的背景下,对云南省高校南亚语种专业的发展规划开展研究显得十分必要。在摸清各个南亚语种的社会需求,以及与东南亚语种的社会需求进行对比的基础上,应从南亚语种专业的数量、结构、招生规模等方面对南亚语种教育进行科学规划。Yunnan is a pivot area which connects parts of China with both South East Asia and South Asia. In the higher education of foreign languages in Yunnan province, the Southeast Asian language majors have been developing very rapidly, while the development of South Asian language majors has lagged far behind. Therefore, it is necessary to study the plan for the development of the South Asian language education. By predicting the social needs of South Asian languages and comparing them with that of Southeast Asian languages, this essay suggests that the amounts, structures and student enrollments of the South Asia language majors should be planned scientifically according to their social needs.
