摘　　要：地图艺术性是指地图作品通过塑造地表形象,反映地表形态、传递地理信息所达到的准确、鲜明、生动的程度及其形式、结构、表现技巧的展现方式。地图艺术性体现在地图符号、注记、色彩中,来源于地图设计者的思想和制作者的娴熟技巧。通过地图语言的一览性和直观性、整体的结构表现方式和编图技巧等编制方法,探讨了地图艺术性的体现方式。结果表明,较高的地图艺术性展现方式可以提高地图审美价值,引起社会共鸣。此外,艺术性贯穿于地图制作工作的始终,提高地图作品的艺术性需要设计员、制作员共同努力,丰富专业知识,共同提升艺术修养。The Art of Maps reflects the accuracy,distinctive and vividness of shaping the surface morphology and transferring the geographical information.The summery of methods on shaping the surface morphology during the mapping is introduced.Some questions are discussed such as how to improve the form and structure of maps,how to skillfully use some techniques of mapping.The art of maps is not only reflected in the symbols,notes and colors of the map,but also comes from the thought of map designer and skills of map producer.In order to improve the art of map works,designers and producers should have profound ideological level,rich professional knowledge,skilled professional skills and high artistic accomplishment.Some outcomes introduced here come from the author＇s practice and thinking,and be helpful to improve the art of maps
