摘  要:The greenway system in Taichung is a successful case that regenetates urban greenbelts through various activation strategies. This paper takes gteenways in Taichung for example, analyzes their renewal plans, and finds out their experience of regeneration. The greenwap in Taichuiig were first designed to control urban sprawl and then became idle greenbelts. Afterwards, the greenways were transformed into an urban vitaEty belt with the joint efforts of multiple parties. The existing greenbelt model in many dries does have some defidendes. Therefoirej it is recommended that there be room for growth in urban development in these cities and they can ckaw lessons from Taichung.The greenway system in Taichung is a successful case that regenerates urban greenbelts through various activation strategies.
