摘　　要：史明理女士的博士论文是侧重吴湖帆鉴定活动的个人传记性研究。作者重点选取吴湖帆八幅收藏作品中三种不同类型的题跋为基础材料,通过收集整合零碎的材料、细致的观察和侦探性的比较、严谨的版本分析和阐释,探讨了撰写题跋鉴定艺术品的社会历史背景,并结合其收藏策略、展览和出版活动,进一步阐述吴湖帆对传统画学的推崇以及自我身份的设定。全书帮助我们构建了吴湖帆的艺术人生,呈现出在那个复杂而极端的政治环境下中国艺术界的基本面貌,并揭示出传统中国艺术通过鉴藏活动建构与传承文人阶层理想的特征。(1)Clarissa von Spee＇s doctoral thesis is a biographical study of Wu Hufan with focus on his connoisseurship in art. The author has a selection of colophons written by Wu Hufan, a total of eight pieces of works in three types as basic materials. Through the collection of integrated materials, careful observation and detective comparisons, rigorous version analysis and interpretation, she discussed the social and historical background of written colophons, and combined with his collecting policy, exhibitions and publication activities, the author further explains, how Wu Hufan advocated traditional approach and built his self-image. The whole book helps us to build the art life of Wu Hufan, know the basic features of the Chinese art world in this complex and difficult time, and reveals the character that constructs and inherits literati ideal through connoisseurship in traditional Chinese art.
