主观化视角下的英语悬垂分词研究

摘　　要：悬垂分词长期被视为不合规范的表达式,但事实是它的使用频率很高。本文运用主观化理论,以looking导引的悬垂分词从句为例,通过语料库调查对其作出探讨。研究发现,在语言使用中言者将悬垂分词语义抽象化,并以句法手段使其与主句关联。这种关联以言者的主观视向引导听者关注主句内容。主观性是悬垂分词产生的原动力,而悬垂分词的高产性源于其构式框架的集约化效应。The dangling participial clauses have long been regarded as non-standard, but the fact is that they are in frequent use. From the perspective of subjectification, this paper conducts a corpus survey on the looking dangling participial clauses. The study shows that the speaker promotes semantic abstraction and deverbalization of the dangling participle, in such a way as to cause a linking between the participial clause and the main clause. The linking highlights the speaker＇s subjective view and draws the hearer＇s attention to the main clause. Subjectivity is an original force to bring about the dangling participle, and the gestalt effect of the dangling participial construction and its ＂intensification＂ lead to its productivity.
