摘　　要：新疆在史书中被称为西域。西域在中国乃至东方文化史上占有举足轻重的地位,在此文化区域所孕育、诞生的丰厚的西域佛教美术,带有厚重的地域文化底蕴,亦染有浓郁的东西方文化色彩,无论在中国艺术史、东方美术史,还有世界美术史上都有不可替代的历史地理文化学术价值。Xinjiang in history has always been known as the Western Regions. Western Region in China, as well as the history of the oriental culture occupies a pivotal position in this cultural region, the birth of the rich Western Buddhist art,with a heavy cultural heritage, both in Chinese and foreign cultures The history of Chinese art, the history of oriental art,and the history of world art have irreplaceable historical and geographical cultural and academic value.
