浅析关联理论视域下的《水浒传》两英译本社会称谓语对比研究

摘　　要：基于早期关于社会称谓语翻译的研究,本文从关联理论的角度着重讨论了古典小说《水浒传》两译本中社会称谓语的英译问题,并着重讨论其中的敬称、谦称和拟亲属称谓三类,结合经典译例从最佳关联角度进行对照分析。作为关联理论的核心概念,最佳关联原则可作为评价翻译策略和方法得失的标准。Based on the early studies on the translation of social address terms,this paper mainly discusses the translation problems about social address terms in two English versions of the classic novel ＂Water Margin＂from the perspective of relevance theory,especially in terms of their honorific titles,modest titles and fictive kinship titles. It is combined with classic cases of contrast analysis from the viewpoint of optimal relevance. As the core concept of relevance theory,the optimal relevance principle can be used as a criterion for evaluating the gain and loss of translation strategies and methods.
