摘  要:棉纺织业作为近代中国民营机器工业中较为发达的一个部门,在抗战前获得了长足的发展。本文通过史料梳理,在分析了近代民营棉纺织企业成长的特点后,结合使用案例分析法与扎根理论,得到近代民营棉纺织企业成长的主要因素:1.机遇和资源驱动是企业成长的基础;2.不稳定的环境和管理水平是企业持续成长的主要障碍;3.扩充和并购能力是企业高速成长的催化剂;4.战略企业家和技术研发是企业开拓创新的源泉。这些因素同样也为当代中国企业的成长提供了有益启示。The cotton textile industry,as one of the prominent private industry,gained its growth sine late 19 th century.Based on archives,this paper tries to analyze the characteristics of growth of enterprises in modern cotton textile industry,and then focuses on the factors that resulted in their growths.With the help of case study and grounded theory,the author comes up with the detailed factors that played key roles of modern cotton textile firms.Finally the author reaches the conclusion as follows:1.Opportunities and resource-drive are the foundations for the growth.2.Unstable surroundings and managerial skills blocked them from reaching sustained growth.3.Merger and acquisition accelerated their growth.4.Strategic entrepreneurship and research development guaranteed their technological innovation.What's more,these factors also give insights for the running of current firms in china.
