摘　　要：Sedak公司采用一种特殊的层压工艺，创造出一种木材和玻璃的混合结构，应用在了美国盐湖城一座24层办公楼的部分立面上.这项设计方案是洛杉矶SOM（Skidmore，0wings＆MerrilI LPP）公司的建筑师提出的，其中包括一个典型的休息厅，休息厅的外壳木构件平滑地过渡到玻璃构件部分。SOM公司专门从事玻璃改良和特大规模玻璃的设计，在这个项目中，该公司的建筑师把两种材料合并到7m高的窗格中来实现这个效果，也就是将桉木实木单板和外立面玻璃融合在一起。Sedak used a special lamination process to create a wood-glass hybrid construction for parts of the facade of a 24-storey office building in Salt Lake City, USA. The design proposal put forward by architects SOM Skidmore, Qwings ＆ Merrill LPP from San Francisco included a representative lobby, on whose outer-shell wooden components were to transition smoothly into glass elements. The company, which specializes in g/ass refinement and oversize formats, achieved this effect by merging the two materials into panes with a height of 7 m, with real-wood veneer made of eucalyptus being inte- grated into the facade glass.
