摘　　要：在中国，社会工怍从慈善助人活动、宗教助人活动，到专业化的发展，经历了长期的历史波折。本文通过梳理20世纪初以来在中国相关文献对社会工怍的定义，呈现关于中国社会工怍发展的叙述脉络。从这个发展脉络中，我们可以清晰地看到人文关怀在其中的发展轨迹。人们如何界定社会工怍，反映了不同时『弋社会工怍发展的状况，也反映了特定时代的社会状况。而人们对社会工怍的认识，叉反过来引导着这个时工社会工怍的发展。The development of social work in China has experienced a long and zigzag process, moving from charity, religious helping activities to professionalization. In the paper, the author summarizes the definitions of social work in China from the beginning of last century till now, which implies the growing significance of humanity and care in the definitions. Each definition of social work reflects the situation off certain period, and these definitions also play roles in guiding the development of social work at present.
