摘 要:自近代以来,江户学者山鹿素行一直是日本思想史上的重要人物。就其批判宋明理学的古学著作而言,他在完成《山鹿语类》后,还立刻重注宋明理学核心经典"四书",即《四书句读大全》。其中,山鹿素行诠释《大学》最为用功。他采用古本《大学》,对古本《大学》是否需要改正这一问题持谨慎的态度。中山广司认为他的这一态度标志着其尊重古典精神的诞生。然而,通过考察发现,此态度不过是他批判宋明理学的手段而已。山鹿素行之所以选择古本《大学》,并非因为有所谓尊重古典的精神,而是出于要避免宋明诸儒"实学之弊"的考虑,以及古本《大学》本身可以满足他诠释"古道"的需求。A scholar of the Edo era,Yamaga Sokōhas been a vital figure in Japan thought history since modern times.In the aspect of ancient learning,after finishing his representative work Yamaga's Words,he immediately devoted his time to the annotation of the Neo-Confucianism classic The Four Books,namely Encyclopaedia of the punctuation of The Four Books.Of The Four Books,he devoted most of his energy to the annotation of The Great Learning.He used the original version and held a prudent attitude towards the revision of the original version of The Great Learning.Nakayama Kōji thought this attitude marked the birth of his respect to the classical spirit.However,it has been found that this attitude just serves as a means of his criticizing the Neo-confucianism after close examination.The reason he chooses the original is not out of respect for the classical spirit,but for the consideration of avoiding the disadvantages of the practical study.Furthermore,the original version of The Great Learning also fulfils his intention of annotating "the old path".
