不完全语法化视角下英语零冠词的虚无性

摘　　要：关于英语名词短语前冠词缺省现象学界有"不用冠词说"、"冠词省略说"、"零冠词说"和"零位冠词说"。本文在Berezoski提出的不完全语法化模型的基础上进一步从零冠词的无源性、零冠词语义的多样性和矛盾性、冠词语法化的阶段、生成语法DP规则、构式语法的基本信条和英语冠词二语习得波动假说来证实两个有形英语冠词仍处在语法化进程中,不适用定冠词和不定冠词的语境具有多样性,并非零冠词能涵盖其所有意义;零冠词无源可考,不是一个实体存在的限定词。As to the phenomenon of the absence of articles before English noun phrases, there appear such various hypotheses as ＂no article use＂, ＂article omission＂, and ＂zero article＂ and “null article. Via the sourcelessness of the zero article, the diversity and contradictoriness of zero article meanings, the articles＇ grammaticalization phases, the DP rules of generative grammar, the tenet of the constructionist approach and the fluctuation theory of second language acquisition of English articles, this paper further proves the two visible English articles are still in the processes of grammaticalization based on the Article Incomplete Grammatical Model proposed by Berezoski. The contexts inadmissible to the definite and indefinite articles are too diversified for zero article to cover; zero article comes from nowhere and hence is not an entity word.
