摘  要:Calmodulin (CaM) plays an important role in the molecular pathway of signal transduction. It was traditionally considered to be an intracellular receptor protein of Ca<sup>2+</sup> signal. However, the extraeellular CaM was found simultaneously by MacNeil et al. in animal cell and by Biro and Sun et al. in plant cell.
