摘　　要：Appellation is the term that people address eachother.It reflects a person's identity in different conversationenvironment.Since appellation in China and Britain belong todifferent addressing systems and has different usages,the allsidedunderstanding of the differences in it between China andBritain is of vital importance in any successful interculturalcommunication.This paper will give a general discussion aboutthe differences in several types of appellation between China andEngland.What's more,the reasons for differences will also bediscussed.Appellation is the term that people address each other.It reflects a person’s identity in different conversation environment.Since appellation in China and Britain belong to different addressing systems and has different usages,the allsided understanding of the differences in it between China and Britain is of vital importance in any successful intercultural communication.This paper will give a general discussion about the differences in several types of appellation between China and England.What’s more,the reasons for differences will also be discussed.
