英汉数字习语中“九”的文化内涵探究

摘　　要：数字习语是英汉习语的一个重要组成部分,具有独特的民族文化内涵。因宗教文化、神话传说和民族文化心理对英汉习语中相同数字的不同影响,以及东西方文化的异同,使含"九"的英汉数字习语及其文化内涵既有共性,也有差异。Numerical idioms are an important part of Chinese and English idioms,which have distinctive national cultural connotations.The paper discusses Chinese and English numerical idioms containing the figure“nine”and their cultural connotations,pointing out the different influences of religion,myth and national cultural psychology on the same numbers in English and Chinese idioms,and the similarities and differences in eastern and western cultures as well.
