摘  要:普洛丁是西方美学史上一个重要的美学家,其美学思想根源于他在哲学上关于三大本体的学说。他驳斥了古希腊罗马以来将比例、对称、均衡等事物属性在形式上理解和谐美学思想的观点,强调人的主观精神,认为美不是事物的属性,感性世界的美总是渗透着精神的东西。他并不否认比例、对称、均衡、适度等属性对美具有重大意义,但他认为这些属性只是美的外在表现而不是美本身,因为对称、比例的事物之所以美,并不是由于其自身,而是由于心灵的接近,亦即美本身是表现比例和对称之中的东西,是透过这些外在的属性所显现出来的东西。这种被显现出来的东西就是心灵。这是西方美学史上和谐论美学思想的具有重要意义的一次飞跃。Plotinus is an important of the esthetic history in the West,and his thought derived fromhis attitude towards three ontologiesabout philosophy.He argued against the viewpoint that the attributes of thing such as proportion,symmetry,balance,etc.,have been understoodformally as harmonious esthetic thought since Classical times,stressed man’s subjective spirit,and thought that beauty is notthe attribute of thing and the beauty in contains kind of spirit.He does not deny that the attributes of thing such as proportion,symmetry,balance,etc.,play an important role in the beauty;instead,he deemed that these attributes are just the surface things of beauty ratherthan the beauty itself because the attributes like proportion and symmetry are regarded as sort of beauty are not for themselves,but forthe approach to soul,viz.,beauty is a thing that shows proportion and symmetry,and that is exhibited through these exterior attributes.This thing that appears outside is named soul.And this is the first significant leap in the esthetic history in the West.
