摘　　要：Intrathoracic goiter(IG) is commonly located in the anterior mediastinum. Here, we report the case of a 54-year-old Chinese woman with successful removal of an intrathoracic goiter and improvement of dyspnea by a right posterolateral thoracotomy approach. Conclusion: Posterior mediastinal thyroid goiter with mediastinal compressive symptoms is an indication for surgery.Intrathoracic goiter(IG) is commonly located in the anterior mediastinum.
