从功能语言学视角看《风波》的多种英译本

摘　　要：从功能语言学的角度对鲁迅先生的短篇小说《风波》的6种英译本进行翻译忠实度的比较研究。语料以原文为基础,选取带有文化负载词的10个例子,以小句为单位。通过比较和统计发现:与绍兴方言和习俗相关的文化负载词的翻译与原文都有不同程度的偏离;杨宪益、戴乃迭夫妇和莱尔的译文对原文的忠实度最高;同时说明译文的忠实度与译者所处的文化语境相关,还跟译者翻译的时代背景相关。This paper aims at analyzing the fidelity of translation by comparing six English versions of Lu Xun’s short story Fengbo from the perspective of Functional Linguistics.Ten minor clauses with cultureloaded words and their English versions are selected as examples.By comparison and statistics,it finds that the translations of the culture-loaded words related with Shaoxing dialects and customs have some deviations at different levels,and that among the six English versions Yang Xianyi and Gladys’and Lyell’s are faithful to the original version most.It also finds that the fidelity of the English versions are related to the cultural context in which the translators live and the historical background when they translate.
