摘　　要：文章围绕神话旅行与救世情怀阐述美国比较神话学家约瑟夫·坎贝尔的神话研究。坎贝尔将神话看成蕴含思想启迪的精神宝藏,他希望从神话世界寻找治疗西方精神痼疾的救赎力量。因此,他突破基督教神话传统的束缚,在异域神话世界探险。面对人类不同群体之间的矛盾和冲突,坎贝尔坚信共同的家园会形成凝聚人类的星球神话;在传统神话力量衰微的时代,神话同样可以引导处于精神危机中的个人完成自我救赎。正是他的著作所具有的救世情怀,才使其著作对美国当代文化产生了重要的影响。Based on myth travel and salvation sentiment,this article elaborates the mythological research of American comparative mythologist Joseph Campbell,who regards mythology as a spiritual treasure containing ideas and enlightenment,hoping to find the redemptive power to cure the mental illness of the West from the mythical world.Therefore,he breaks through the shackles of Christian mythology and explores in the exotic mythical world.Facing the contradictions and conflicts between different groups of human beings,Campbell firmly believes that a common homeland will form a planetary myth that condenses humanity;in the era of the decline of traditional mytho-logical power,myths can also guide individuals in a spiritual crisis to complete self-salvation.It is the salvation sen-timent of his works that makes his writings have an important influence on American contemporary culture.
