朱熹对《论语》“父子相隐”的解读——兼论“父为子隐,子为父隐”并非要隐瞒

摘  要:自《论语》讲"父子相隐",历代儒家学者对此作出了不同的诠释。朱熹在前人的基础上,也对此作过深入细致的解读。朱熹认为父母有道德上的过失,儿子应当采取一种不向外告发而只在家庭内部父子之间进行道德劝谏的处理方式,即"父子相隐",要求"事父母几谏",这其中并没有隐瞒父母过失之意。同时他从"形而上者谓之道"与"形而下者谓之器"相互贯通的角度,既强调"父子相隐,天理人情之至也",以为父子相隐是合乎天理人情之事;又进一步提出"父子相隐,本非直,而‘直在其中’",以为父子相隐,本不是直,而只能是"直在其中",需要在"下气怡色,柔声以谏"、"见志不从,又敬不违,劳而不怨"的过程中展现出正直。朱熹的解读不仅超越了前人,而且对于今天的学术讨论具有重要的参考价值。Since the Analects of Confucius said that“The father conceals the misconduct of the son,and the son conceals the misconduct of the father”,Confucian scholars in different dynasties have made different interpretations.On the basis of predecessors,Zhu Xi also did an in-depth and detailed interpretation of this.In his opinion,if the parents have moral faults,the son should adopt a method of moral counsel between the father and the son within the family instead of informing against him,that is“concealment of father and son”and“In serving his parents,a son may remonstrate with them,but gently”in the Analects of Confucius.In doing so,there is no intention of concealing parental moral faults.At the same time,Zhu Xi emphasized that the concealment of father and son is the greatest principle and human feeling,and further proposed that the concealment of father and son is not uprightness but there is“uprightness to be found in this”,and uprightness is shown in constant remonstrating.Zhu Xi’s interpretation not only surpasses the predecessors,but also has important reference value for today’s academic discussion.
