摘　　要：在1951年,东北工学院和大连工学院曾经同时成立应用数学系和应用物理系.这是一个工科院校重视基础理论研究,具有战略前瞻性的举措.可惜仅仅办了一年,就在院系调整过程中夭折了.本文是当年大连工学院应用数学系几位学生所录.Early in 1951,Northeast Institute of Technology and Dalian Institute of Technology had formed Applied Mathematics Department and Applied Physics Department at the same time.These are visionary strategic actions for Colleges of Engineering in the nation to pay great attention to fundamental research.Unfortunately,the new formations,lasted only for one year,came to a premature end in the process of adjustment of Institutes and departments.This article gathers memoirs of some students of the Applied Mathematics Department of Dalian Institute of Technology then.
