A Review of Development of MOOCs in the Past Decade

摘  要:文章梳理了前慕课时代远程教育的发展脉络,揭示了慕课与远程教育各个发展阶段之间的关联;综述了慕课时代从起步萌芽、高歌猛进到理性受审的发展路径;审视了后慕课时代多元化变体的演变轨迹以及混合教学模式的发展势头。文章认为,慕课的发展曲线可归结为技术准备期(前慕课时代)、技术启动期、期望高潮期、期望低谷期(慕课时代)、重新启蒙期与稳定发展期(后慕课时代),大致符合技术创新链条演化的基本规律——高德纳技术成熟度曲线。基于此,文章预测,慕课对高等教育的变革力量还将持续深入。The article sorts out the development of distance education in the pre-MOOC era,which reveals the connection between MOOC and various developmental stages of distance education;summarizes the growth path of MOOC from germination,rapid movement and then to rational evolvement;examines its diversified variants,especially the popular use of the blended teaching and learning in the post-MOOC era.The review indicates that the evolving route of MOOCs roughly accords with the Gartner Hype model.MOOCs have passed"Technology Trigger","Peak of Inflated Expectations","Trough of Disillusionment",and currently are transcending from"Slope of Enlightenment"to"Plateau of Productivity",based on which,the paper predicts that MOOCs are going to exert increasingly substantial impact on higher education in the next decade.
