摘　　要：自然主义是文学艺术创作中的一种倾向,崇尚单纯地描摹自然,着重对现实生活的表面现象作记录式的写照,并企图以自然规律特别是生物学规律解释人和人类社会。薇拉·凯瑟在《我的安东妮亚》中,运用自然主义手法,将自然美、内布拉斯加大草原和安东妮亚美国梦的实现紧密联系在一起,通过自然主义手法描写拓荒者和大自然的冲突、和谐,呈现了安东妮亚一生的奋斗历程及女性拓荒者的精神。Naturalism is a trend which literary and art follow when they are being created.It advocates the simple description of nature,focuses on the portrayal of phenomena in real life,and attempts to explain human and society with laws of nature,especially laws of biology.In My Antonia,Vera Cather uses naturalistic techniques to closely link natural beauty,the Nebraska steppe and the realization of Antonia’s American dream.The conflicts and coordination between pioneers and nature not only show the striving of Antonia,but the spirit of female pioneers.
