摘 要:法国戏剧家克洛岱尔的代表作《城市》中,建立在路径图式基础上的"生命是旅程"这一基本隐喻贯穿始终。作者对这一来自日常认知的基本隐喻进行有目的的变形,形成独特的多样的诗性隐喻。作品中人物的共同点是都将城市重建视为走上一条通向新城市的道路,而城市重建则隐喻着众人得救获得新生,所以道路就成为追寻各自真理的隐喻。由此,人物性格的塑造以及人物所代表的不同理念的呈现,均通过路径隐喻来完成。路径隐喻除了实现人物形象区别化,还表达了全剧信仰上帝终将得救的思想倾向。以隐喻的视角来探讨《城市》,也说明了认知隐喻研究在具体文学文本分析层面具有值得肯定的价值。The basic metaphor of"life is a journey"based on the path schema runs through the works,The City written by the French dramatist Claudel.The author intentionally transforms this basic metaphor from everyday cognition and forms a unique variety of poetic metaphors.The common feature of the characters in the novel is that they regard urban reconstruction as a way to a new city,while urban reconstruction is a metaphor for the salvation and rebirth of all people,so the road becomes a metaphor for the pursuit of their respective truths.Thus,the characterization and the presentation of the different ideas represented by the characters are accomplished through path metaphor.Path metaphor not only differentiates the characters,but also expresses the ideological tendency of believing that God will be saved.The study of The City from the perspective of metaphor also shows that the study of cognitive metaphor is of great value in the analysis of specific literary texts.
