摘  要:美国的社区学院在长期的发展壮大过程中,逐渐形成了自身的优势和特色,其学校运营方式和教学管理等方面均值得学习和借鉴。湖南高职教育经过20多年的迅猛发展,目前正在由外延式发展向内涵式发展转变,在这一过程中,高职院校既面临许多机遇,也存在许多挑战。要克服办学体制、机制中的障碍,解决好功能定位、经费不足、运行不良等问题,改革是唯一途径,正处在改革发展十字路口的湖南高职院校,可以从美国加州社区学院发展改革经验中获取参考和借鉴。In the long-term development and expansion of American community colleges,there have been gradually formed its own advantages and characteristics with operation mode and teaching management that is worth learning.After more than 20 years of rapid development,there has been transforming from epitomized to connotative development for higher vocational education in Hunan province.In this process,higher vocational colleges will face with both opportunities and challenges,but reform is the only approach to seize opportunities,overcome obstacles of school-running system and mechanism,and solve problems such as functional orientation,insufficient funds and poor operation.Most importantly,the development and reform experience of education in western developed countries provides reference for the higher vocational education reform and development in Hunan province.
