Objective To study the relationship between brain microbleeds and vertebrobasilar arterial morphology in brain stem infarction. Method Select 92 cases of brain stem infarction patients from our hospital by MRI and SWI examination, and according to the test results were divided into negative and positive groups, compared the vertebral-basilar artery morphological characteristics of the two groups of patients, and on the brain microbleeds and vertebral-correlation of basilar artery morphology was analyzed. Results There were significant differences in basilar arterial falsification, vertebral artery stenosis, basilar artery stenosis, and vertebral artery dysplasia between the negative group and the positive group( P<0.05). The incidence of vertebral-basal artery abnormalities in the positive group was higher than that in the negative group, and P<0.05. Conclusion Most brainstem infarct patients are associated with morphological abnormalities of the vertebral-basal artery, which increases the incidence of cerebral microbleeds. In addition, basal cerebral microbleeds have a close relationship with basilar artery elongation and vertebral artery dysplasia.
