摘　　要：相比其他国家地区的华人研究,印度华人研究没有得到学界的重视,研究文献比较少。在以现有的研究文献、资料、网络报道与访谈为中心分析印度华人的状况中,发现印度华人有以下特点,第一,赴印原因有着普遍原因、社会原因和特殊原因等。第二,印度华人的职业以皮革业、制鞋业、木匠和牙医为主,其他职业为辅。第三,印度华人经历了很多坎坷,至今无法痊愈。第四,老一辈印度华人对自己是中国人的身份认知比年轻一代要深要强。希望文章能够引起学界对印度华人问题研究的关注。Compared with researches of overseas Chinese in other countries,the study of the overseas Chinese in India has not been paid much attention in the academic circle,and the research literature is relatively few. This paper uses the present literature,research data,network reports and interviews for analyzing current situations of overseas Chinese in India. The study found some evidences. First,there existed some general,social and special reasons for overseas Chinese going to India. Second,the occupations of the overseas Chinese are characterized as leather-making,footwear-manufacturing,carpenter and dentist,with other occupations as the supplement. Third,overseas Chinese in India have gone through many frustrations,which affect them till now. Fourth,the old generations have a deeper and stronger sense of understanding of their Chinese identity than the younger ones. The author hopes this article could arouse the academic circle’s attention to the study of the overseas Chinese in India.
