摘　　要：诉讼保险演变和发展复杂而漫长,但逐渐制度化和规范化,已被人们广泛认可和接受。诉讼保险大致经历了以下转变过程:由早期运作和界定的混乱,保险监管部门不认可,甚至有的法律禁止经营,发展到现在的普遍支持;由最初只对交通事故的诉讼提供保险,发展到现在为商业、职业、家庭等广泛领域提供保险;从原来的由综合保险公司兼营,发展到现在由较多的专业化保险公司专营;从起初律师反对诉讼保险发展到后来律师积极参与诉讼保险。诉讼保险的发展和成熟,必将促进更多的人接近司法,获得更专业的法律服务。Legal protection insurance( LPI) experienced a long and complex process of evolution during which it gradually became institutionalized and standardized, thus widely recognized and accepted. LPI transformed from very confusing operations and the definition, denial of the insurance regulatory authorities, and even prohibition by law to the general support;from early LPI only to traffic accidents to many fields including business, profession;from the sideline of general insurance company to special business of the professionalized companies;from opposition of lawyers to active participation of LPI. Development and maturity of LPI will grant people more chances of getting access to it and get professional service.
