金川土司的由来及兴起——兼释“金川”之名

摘　　要：金川之役发生前的大小金川土司及其前身金川寺演化禅师的历史,长期被学界忽视。论文钩沉史料,尤其是早已亡佚的明清方志,讨论了三个问题。一是明初封置的金川寺演化禅师地处保县以东的杂谷脑河下游,金川之名源自隋及唐宋断续设置的金川县,本意与黄金无关,而是地处疆域极西,被认为属以金德王而主西方的少昊金天氏之地。二是受大小族姓相争的影响,金川寺演化禅师约在成化五年迁至董卜韩胡界上,从而将"金川"之名带到邛崃山脉以西的大渡河上游。三是明末清初,由僻居小金川北部百余里之地的金川寺演化禅师分化形成的大小金川土司迅速兴起,至乾隆初已占有大小金川流域五百里之地。The paper discusses three questions:Firstly,the original location of the Evolution-chan-master of Jinchuan temple was located in the lower reaches of the Zhagulao River,the name of Jinchuan was not related to gold,but it originated from the Jinchuan County which was established during the Sui,Tang and Song Dynasties.Secondly,the Evolution-chan-master of Jinchuan Temple moved to the Dadu River at west of Qionglai mountain.The upper reaches of the river brought the name of "Jinchuan" to the local area.Thirdly,at the end of the Ming and early Qing Dynasties,the Evolution-chan-master of Jinchuan Temple formed the big Jinchuan Chieftain and the small Jinchuan Chieftain,which quickly became powerful,and had occupied about five hundred miles of the Jinchuan basin in the early Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty.
