摘 要:文章对比了基于体验性假说的教学法和传统的翻译教学法对英语多义介词义项习得与使用的作用。研究表明,两种教学法对义项使用的即时效果无差别;义项习得的即时效果方面,前者显著优于后者。义项习得与使用的延时效果方面,前者均显著优于后者。基于体验性假说的教学法有助于多义介词义项习得与使用效果的保持及提升,而翻译教学法的效果则可能随时间推移而消退。This paper reports on a study of the immediate and long-term effectiveness of experientialism-based instruction and translation-based instruction on the acquisition and use of English polysemous prepositions. The results showed that while the two methods were equally effective in the immediate use of polysemous prepositions,experientialism-based instruction was much more effective than translation-based instruction in the immediate acquisition of polysemous prepositions. In terms of the long-term effectiveness,experientialismbased instruction was significantly more effective than translation-based instruction in both the acquisition and use of polysemous prepositions. The analysis also indicated that experientialism- based instruction may have a sustained and increased effect on the acquisition and use of polysemous prepositions in the long term,while translation-based instruction may become less effective with time.
