Objective To explore the impact of cognitive health education on quality of life(QOL)and survival of patients with lung cancer.Method According to the different methods of health education administered,100 patients with lung cancer who underwent surgical treatment were stratified as routine management group(receiving routine management intervention)and education group(receiving cognitive health education management intervention),with 50 cases in each group. The postoperative complications at different time points,QOL before and after intervention, and the survival in 2 years after surgery were compared between the two groups.Result After 4 weeks of operation, the incidence of adverse reactions in the education group was lower than that in the routine management group(P<0.05).After intervention, the QOL scores of both groups were significantly higher than that before intervention(P<0.01);furthermore,the QOL score in education group was markedly higher compared to routine management group(P<0.01).The education group had better overall survival than that in the routine management group(P<0.01).Conclusion Cognitive health education can effectively improve the quality of life for patients with lung cancer, improving their survival time, with reduced incidence of complications.
