我国改革开放初期对美国高等工科教育的考察与汲取——以上海交通大学为例

摘　　要：1978年9-11月上海交通大学组团赴美考察高等工科教育,了解了美国理工科大学工科教育发展情况和动态,为人才培养、学科建设、科学研究等方面改革提供了思想启发和参考经验。此后,交大借鉴美国高等工科教育理念,调整学科专业,推进理工结合,带动了教学与科研的全面转型,对当代中国高等工科教育发展产生了重要影响。Shanghai Jiao Tong University once dispatched a delegation to the United States for drawing lessons from American higher engineering education in 1978.During this visit,the delegation had gained better understanding of the engineering education in American universities of science and technology,which were very helpful for the reform of talent training,discipline construction and scientific research in Shanghai Jiao Tong University.Since then,Shanghai Jiao Tong University has taken a variety of measures to reform its engineering education,including adjusting discipline structure,promoting the integration of science and technology and advancing the transformation of teaching and scientific research.The reform has produced significant influence on China’s contemporary engineering education.
