摘 要:量子光学为多种前沿科学研究提供了理论基础,是研究生阶段重要课程之一。Jaynes-Cummings(JC)模型是量子光学中很重要的模型,被广泛应用于描述一个二能级原子和一个单模腔场的相互作用。该模型成立的前提是腔场与二能级原子的耦合强度远小于腔频(g/w_c<<1)。随着近些年实验技术的发展,g/w_c被不断增大,单纯JC模型的教学是否能跟得上研究的进展便成为一个问题。我们在这篇文章里数值计算并讨论了是否考虑旋转波近似的单模腔场与二能级原子的共振相互作用。通过在教学中引入前沿科学研究及相关讨论,学生们知道了满足不同量子操作精度所需要/的取值范围。这为学生在未来科研中打下坚实基础。Quantum optics provides a theoretical basis for many frontier scientific researches and is one of the important courses in postgraduate stage. Jaynes-Cummings (JC) model is an important model in quantum optics. It is widely used to describe the interaction between a two level atom and a single-mode cavity field. The premise of the model is that the coupling strength between the cavity field and the two-level atom is much less than the cavity frequency (g/ωc<<1). With the development of experimental technology in recent years, g/ωc has become a question whether the teaching of JC model can keep up with the progress of research. In this paper, we numerically calculate and discuss whether the resonant interaction between a single-mode cavity field and a two-level atom with rotating wave approximation is considered. By introducing frontier scientific research and related discussions into teaching, students know the range of values needed to satisfy different quantum operation accuracy. This will lay a solid foundation for students in future scientific research.
