摘  要:台湾与大陆同根同源,但台湾近代高等教育源于日本,经过几十年的发展,其发展路径和模式又转向欧美。而新中国成立后的大陆高等教育,前期模仿前苏联,改革开放后也开始转向学习欧美,两岸似乎有异曲同工的味道。基于共同的中华文化,两岸高等教育既有种种相似性,也有不同的发展路径。台湾高等教育在诸多领域的实践,为大陆未来高等教育改革提供了可参照的范本。从两岸过往不同的高等教育轨迹来看,是否能够相互借鉴,除了时代变迁这一决定因素外,也许得看两岸高校管理者的智慧取舍。同根同源的两岸人民,或许该回到历史找寻和解之道!Taiwan and the Chinese mainland share the same roots and culture, but Taiwan's modern higher education originated in Japan. After decades of development, its development path and model have turned to Europe and the United States. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, higher education in the mainland has undergone the transition from following the former Soviet Model at the early stage to taking a leaf from Europe and the United States after the reform and opening-up. To some extent, the trajectories of the two sides seem to be similar. Based on the common Chinese culture, higher education across the Straits has both similarities and different development paths. In many fields, the practice of Taiwan's higher education provides references for the future reform of higher education in the mainland. In view of the different development paths of higher education across the Straits in the past, whether the two sides can learn from each other may hinge on the wisdom of university administrators across the Straits in addition to the changes of the times. Perhaps people on both sides of the Straits who share the same roots and culture should return to history to find a way for reconciliation!
