摘　　要：传统文化是中华文明的精髓。在英语通行全球的背景下,在英语教学中增加传统文化的内容具有重要现实意义,有助于防范和抵御西方意识形态渗透,也有助于培养民族自信心和自豪感。本文首先描述英语教学中传统文化缺失的现状,而后分析传统文化导入英语报刊教学的重要性和必要性,最后针对改善英语改进英语报刊教学提出若干建议。Chinese traditional culture is the essence of Chinese civilization. In the context of global popularity of English,it is of great significance to integrate the content of Chinese traditional culture into the teaching of English news and publications, which helps to prevent and resist the infiltration of Western ideology and to cultivate the sense of national pride and confidence. This paper firstly describes the current situation of English teaching with special regard to the inadequate teaching of traditional culture,then analyzes the importance and necessity of integrating traditional culture into the teaching of English news and publications, and finally proposes some advice for improvement.
