摘  要:以西方工艺史中一个重要传统门类——彩绘玻璃——在19世纪的发展为背景,讨论了机器时代中手工制作活动重新受到艺术家、理论家关注的过程。重点考察了伯恩·琼斯工作室中的彩绘玻璃制作实践。在这个过程中,制作过程本身的复杂性与不确定性,对最终产品的决定性,逐渐得到艺术家的认识,它不再被看成是毫无价值的重复劳动而屈居艺术创作之下,而是一个与艺术创作同样重要的因素,共同作用于最终的艺术作品。制作过程不断受到重视,最终也导致了设计教育培养模式的变革。In the background of the development of Stained Glass, an important traditional industry in the western countries, in 19th century, this paper discusses the re-evaluation of making process in craft in the machine age by artists and theorists. This Paper focus on the practice of Stained Glass in the Bern-Jones studio. The complexity and uncertainty of the making process and its decisiveness to the final product are gradually recognized by the artist and art historians. The making process is no longer seen as worthless duplication of work and is subordinated to artistic creation, but an equally important factor that works together with the final work of art. The making process has been continuously valued, and ultimately led to changes in the art and craft education training model.
