According to the fact that building polygons consist of very sparse vertexes and are very sensitive to shape distortions,a high-fidelity watermarking model for building polygons which has good shape retention is proposed.Watermark bits are modulated into the spatial relations between objects using similar transformation of geometries based on Quantized Index Modulation(QIM).The watermark bits are scattered across the whole dataset by Hash mapping and bits repeated insertion and detected based on QIM and voting mechanism accordingly. Results have showed the robustness against the threatening watermark attacks, and the watermark invisibility has been improved greatly. The high-fidelity watermarking model proposed here adds watermark bits into building polygons using similar transformation, and has some reference value for developing other robust watermarking methods for vector map data.
