In 1881, Fuzhou methodist episcopal church founded the Anglo-Chinese college to spread Christianity. However, students who received demonstration education in the United States accepted Western thought, awakened the awareness of rights and practiced it. In 1905 , the United States expressed its indignation at the extension of the treaty to limit Chinese laborers. The college students demanded that the school and the U. S. ambassador to Fujian should deliver a protest to the U. S. government and eventually dropped out of school without a reply. In 1909, college graduates organized associations to fight for the right to vote in parliament. However, because of the involvement of the United States, it became a diplomatic event and eventually gave up in the interest of safeguarding the interests of the country. In 1911, a bomb team composed of college students broke out a revolution in Fuzhou and made a great contribution to the victory of the revolution. Anglo-Chinese college not only reflects the multifaceted nature of the church schools, but also illustrates the richness and complexity of modern Chinese history.
