摘 要:议论文写作是英语专业学生学习中最常见、最具挑战性的一种写作体裁。影响议论文写作效果的因素很多,但人称代词的使用是关键因素之一。文章以91篇随机抽取的某地方新升本师范院校英语专业一年级学生的议论文作为研究语料,通过定性和描述相结合的方法,探究了英语专业一年级学生议论文中人称代词的使用情况。研究结果显示,英语专业一年级学生议论文写作中使用人称代词时主要存在三大问题:(1)过多使用第一、第二人称代词;(2)第三人称代词使用不当;(3)人称代词混用。文章分析了造成这些问题的原因,提出了切实可行的解决方法,以期教师关注学生议论文写作中人称代词的使用,并设法帮助他们学会正确使用人称代词,达到写作目的。Argumentation is the most common and challenging writing genre for English majors. Whether it can achieve its writing purpose depends on many factors,but the use of personal pronouns is one of the key factors. Based on 91 randomly selected argumentative essays of freshmen majoring in English in a newly-upgraded local normal university,this paper studies the use of personal pronouns in their essays through qualitative analysis and description. The study indicates that there exist three main problems in their use of personal pronouns in argumentative writing:(1)excessive use of first and second person pronouns;(2)improper use of third person pronouns;(3) mixed use of personal pronouns. The paper analyzes the causes of these problems and puts forward practical solutions in the hope that teachers can pay attention to students' use of personal pronouns in their argumentative writing and help students learn to use personal pronouns correctly to achieve their writing purposes.
