摘　　要：吕叔湘和周振甫的人生阅历,殊足成为中国近现代学人游走于出版与学术职业两端的一种典型表征。质而言之,两人悉以学术为人生追求的最高旨趣,求“立言”而至不朽;但他们的职业选择迥乎不同。周振甫毕生从事编辑工作,利用余暇进行学术研究,在编著两端皆成就斐然。吕叔湘长期任职于科研机构,却对编辑工作有一份难以割舍的情怀。他著述之余,不时将眼光投向出版,并屡有真知灼见发表,为做编辑者开启无限法门。比较和研探两人在编辑理论和实践方面的同工异曲之处,对当下的编辑出版从业者应不乏启沃与助益。The life experience of Lv Shuxiang and Zhou Zhenfu was starkly different, with one sitting on academic profession and another devoted to publishing. However, in the final analysis, both of them regarded academic pursuit as the lofty goal of their life, and hoped to expound their ideas in writing for eternality. But they made quite different career choices. Zhou Zhenfu took editing as his lifework and engaged in academic research in his spare time. He was successful in both editing and writing. Lv Shuxiang worked at a scientific research institute for a long time, but he was always interested in editing. While writing books, he paid attention to publishing from time to time and proposed lots of insightful ideas which were thought-provoking for editors. Comparing and studying their editing theories and practice will enlighten editors and publishers and benefit the current editing and publishing work.
