Purpose To explore the mechanism of formation of higher and lower temperature lines along channels. Methods Changes of thermogram of the trunk before and after injection of phetolamine in the cholecystitis model rabbit were investigated with infrared thermogrameter. The model rabbits received injection of saline were used as the control group. Results (1)Before injection, 3 rabbits in the observation group occurred the higher temperature lines along the Gallbladder Channel on laterals of the trunk, and one rabbit in the control group occurred the line. (2)After injection of phetolamine, the lines prolongated and the temperature raised on the line in the observation group, and in 2 rabbits of the rabbits who did not occurred the line, the higher temperature lines were induced at the same position. (3)No higher temperature line occurred in the control group. Conclusion Phetolamine can induce occurrence of higher temperature lines on the trunk in the cholecystitis rabbits, and blockage of α receptor and inhibition of noradrenalinergic fibers of the sympathetic nerve are one of the mechanism of formation of the high temperature line along channels.
